    It is ongoing research that began with a doctoral dissertation for a double PhD degree, performed by Renata Petrevska Nechkoska, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Gjorgji Manceski, UKLO, Macedonia and Prof. Dr. Geert Poels, UGent, Belgium.

    The method that resulted from the PhD research is named DENICA (ДЕНИЦА) and it means 'the morning star' - signifying tactics for the manager. The PhD dissertation defense is planned for end of 2017 and all materials will be accessible from then.

  • This Research is focusing on the Tactical Management adaptability in dealing with uncertain and unpredictable environment, and fundamental need of adaptability and big picture view. 

    The Tactics is the way businesses achieve their difference, their competitive advantage. It has been somewhat neglected with nowadays Real-time information shooting up to Strategic KPIs, or vice versa.

    The Tactical Managers are in the Middle of (1) Strategy and Operations, (2) Clients and the Company, (3) Management and Employees and they operate in highly dynamic, unpredictable environment, needing adaptability and responsiveness to changing circumstances while still guiding their teams towards a goal, managing mismatches and dynamically aligning resources, capabilities and information inputs/processing/outputs. 

    This research is aiming to stand in the shoes of the Person as a Tactical Manager, and provide a method, a way of thinking, in order to perform the tactical management adaptively and more effectively. 

    The basic concept that is underlined in the method, is the Sense and Respond managerial concept, introduced by Stephan Haeckel, whose guidance and input in this research is of immense importance and facilitates proper implementation of the concept, in this specific area of interest. www.senseandrespond.com

    This is a Design Science Research that combines the most novel and current methodology principles and techniques, and should facilitate proper process and outcome, as obliged and privileged by a Double Degree program by the two Universities.
